Neal Rappleye

Research Team, Influencer – Informed Saints

Neal Rappleye is a research associate for the Ancient America Foundation and is the co-host of the Informed Saints podcast with Jasmin Rappleye and Stephen Smoot. His research focuses on the various backgrounds and contexts of the Book of Mormon, including the ancient Near East, pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, and the 19th century witnesses to the discovery and translation of the Book of Mormon. His work has been published by The Interpreter Foundation, BYU Studies, Religious Educator, FAIR, Book of Mormon Central, Greg Kofford Books, and Covenant Communications, and he has presented at several conferences. Previously, Neal was the director of research at Scripture Central (2015–2025) where he wrote over 200 KnoWhy and Evidence articles, and oversaw and contributed to a number of other research projects.
